Five Medals was a leader of St Joseph Potawatomi near the Elkhart River. He was heavily involved in the 1795 Treaty of Greenville. Five Medals & Topinabee agreed that agriculture was the way of the future in order to survive, as many species of wild game were beginning to be difficult to come by. The last Treaty the Five Medals appears in is the 1818 Treaty of St. Mary's.
