Sinagowa rose to become a leader in the mid 1800s. After Pokagon's death in 1841, Sinagowa was selected to become our new leader, however that didnt go as planned as father Soren insisted that Pokagon's oldest son Peter Pokagon become the new leader. Thru this event & other things that were happening at the time, 2/3rds of the Silver Creek Band decided to relocate up to Rush Lake thus beginning another large split among our people.
